    The objective

The agency needed customer preferences and nearby communities' views of several transit proposals before choosing one.

    The research design

Customers and community members joined in-person and online groups held in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Bengali. They reacted to, rated, and ranked each proposal.

    The outcome

One proposal had the broadest appeal, and the groups explained why. Results were presented several times to local and state government leaders.
